What to expect on your first visit...
When you first visit Capella, expect to be welcomed by a family of believers who is happy you have decided to come! But you need to know, before you come, that we're imperfect people, just like you! We are a community of people who don't have it all together, but are in a reckless pursuit of finding life in Jesus. At Capella we want you to see what God can do through you as you love God, grow with others, and reach the world.
I'm a first-timer
We're a group of imperfect people who are coming to know Jesus and serving others together, regardless of your story we believe YOU belong at Capella.
If you've never been to Capella and are considering coming, here's what you should expect...
Nice people. It really makes our Sunday to see someone new at Capella. You'll probably be approached by many smiling faces. Handshakes and hugs are contagious! Feel free to say, "This is my first time."
An atmosphere of worship. We care about YOU, not what you're wearing, so feel free to come as dressed as you are. Worship time is comprised of Praise and Worship music led by a praise team. We invite you to join in and WORSHIP our Savior, but we will NOT single you out publicly or ask you to say anything. We want you to feel welcome and at home.
A fun, safe environment for kids. Kids LOVE it at Capella! If you have children, they will have the option to meet separately during Worship time with Capella Kids Praise volunteers. We also have nursery staffing each week, which provides babies and toddlers with consistency and care. Our friendly volunteers will get a telephone number we can use to send text messages if any emergencies arise with your child during the worship service.
Practical teaching. We desire to connect the words of the Bible to everyday life and sing songs that praise and honor God. Don't be surprised when people clap or raise their hands, and don't feel obligated to do so yourself. We try to create an atmosphere of freedom in our worship services.
"Everyone's a Part of the Family" This has been a staple of Capella's for many years. Everyone belongs - every color, every shape, every personality, and people with every kind of story imaginable. We trust the Bible completely even when we don't fully understand it. We do everything for the name and fame of Jesus Christ!
